Try these simple tricks to strengthen your kidneys and boost your virility

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that sufficient kidney qi leads to vigorous sexual function and abundant yang qi, which effectively maintains physical and mental health. However, strengthening the kidneys is not as simple as taking strong tonics, as commonly believed. As stated in the "Huangdi Neijing" (Yellow Emperor's Inner Classic), "the kidneys dislike dryness," and sometimes, excessive tonics can actually weaken the kidneys.

In fact, there are many ways in Traditional Chinese Medicine to nourish the kidneys. In addition to medicine, there are also diet, massage, acupuncture, and qigong, all of which can achieve the purpose of strengthening the kidneys and enhancing male virility.

1. The method of clenching teeth and swallowing saliva.

This method comprises two parts: First, upon waking each morning, tap your teeth together 100 times. Then, lick your palate, the area under your tongue, and your gums with your tongue, filling your mouth with saliva before swallowing. Mentally guide the saliva to your lower abdomen (Dantian). This is called "tapping teeth and swallowing saliva." Second, contract your anus. Tighten your anus while inhaling and relax it while exhaling. One contraction and relaxation constitutes one repetition. Do this 50 times consecutively. This is called "circulation of Qi." This method nourishes Yin and reduces internal heat, strengthens teeth and benefits essence, tonifies the kidneys and strengthens the lower back, and can prevent and treat sexual dysfunction.

2. Double palm massage of the waist

Sit down and place both palms on the Shenshu acupoints, with the middle fingers pointing directly at the Mingmen acupoint. Focus your mind on the Mingmen acupoint and rub your palms from top to bottom 40-100 times until you feel a warm sensation in the area. This method has the effect of warming the kidneys and retaining essence, and it has a good preventive and therapeutic effect on male spermatorrhea, impotence, and premature ejaculation.

3. Massage the Yongquan point on the lower limbs

Sit down, rub your hands together to warm them, then place your palms firmly against the tops of your feet, rubbing from the base of your toes along the ankle joint to the Sanyinjiao point (SP6), back and forth 20-30 times. Then, rub the Yongquan acupoint (located on the sole of the foot) with your palms 100 times each. While rubbing, it's best to focus your mind on the Yongquan acupoint, and the movements should be slightly rhythmic. This method helps harmonize the heart and kidneys and guides the body's energy back to its source, effectively preventing and treating insomnia and seminal emission caused by disharmony between the heart and kidneys.

4. Unblocking the Ren and Du meridians

Take a semi-recumbent position. Press the Shenque acupoint: Place one hand on the lower abdomen, and press the middle finger of the other hand on the Shenque acupoint, silently counting to 60. Then switch hands and repeat. Rub the coccyx: Place one hand on the lower abdomen, and rub the coccyx with the other hand 30-50 times. Then switch hands and repeat 30-50 times. Rub the perineum: Place one or both hands on the genitals, and press the fingers on the perineum acupoint, rubbing 30-50 times in each direction. Rub the lower abdomen: Place both hands on top of each other and rub the lower abdomen 30-50 times in each direction. This exercise warms and invigorates the Ren meridian, unblocks the Ren and Du meridians, nourishes vital energy, and harmonizes Yin and Yang. Long-term practice of this method can unblock meridians, nourish Yin and tonify the kidneys, and regulate the functions of the Ren, Du, Chong, and Dai meridians. It has good preventive and therapeutic effects on prostatitis, urinary stones, and uterine diseases.

The above methods can be practiced individually or in combination. As long as you diligently persist in practicing these health-preserving exercises, you can strengthen your kidney qi, harmonize yin and yang, and have abundant energy, thereby playing a role in preventing and treating diseases and delaying aging.

Rubbing, twisting, and turning the waist strengthens the kidneys.

The kidneys are the foundation of innate essence, governing the body's Yang energy. Only when kidney Yang is sufficient can the five internal organs, six bowels, four limbs, and all parts of the body be warmed, blood vessels be unobstructed, and a person be healthy. The waist is the "residence of the kidneys," so protecting the kidneys starts with caring for the waist. Here are three methods:

1. Waist rubbing method – warms and nourishes the kidneys

Rubbing your lower back up and down 100-200 times daily with your palms can not only warm your lower back and kidneys, enhance kidney function, and strengthen your vital energy, but also unblock the meridians. With consistent practice, it can also prevent and treat symptoms of kidney deficiency such as lower back pain, frequent urination, and nocturia.

2. Waist Twisting Exercise – Relaxes Internal Organs

Regularly twisting your waist can relax internal organs, relieve constipation, and also lower high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and high blood sugar. The specific method is as follows:

(1) Stand with your feet apart, shoulder-width apart or slightly wider than shoulder-width apart, with your arms hanging naturally and your eyes looking straight ahead.

(2) Keep your upper body upright, and your legs and knees should be straight and not bent.

(3) First, extend your waist to the left, then forward, right, and back, rotating clockwise. The whole process should be slow, with your shoulders still and your knees straight, and slowly rotate 30 to 50 times.

(4) The same principle applies as above, then rotate counterclockwise 30 to 50 times.

When performing the exercises, the movements must be slow and fluid, with natural breathing and a relaxed body. Additionally, it's best to do waist twists in the morning or afternoon, ideally on an empty stomach, and drink a glass of warm water afterward. After consistently doing this for two weeks, the results will be quite noticeable.

3. Waist Twisting Exercise – Strengthens the Lower Back and Abdomen

This method works better when done on a hard bed or with a mat on the floor. The specific steps are as follows.

(1) Lie on your back with your hands and shoulders in a straight line and your legs together and straight.

(2) Raise both legs, bend your knees, and make a 90° angle with the bed.

(3) Keep your upper body still and fall to the right side until your right leg touches the bed. Then slowly return to the original position and fall to the left side until your left leg touches the bed.

Although this process does not directly exercise the waist, the side-to-side swinging of the legs twists the waist to the maximum extent, and the waist stretch is done in a completely relaxed and stress-free state. Doing this 100 times back and forth has a good massage and unblocking effect on the waist.

In addition, you can raise or lower your legs, swinging them from side to side at different angles to massage the entire buttocks. People with lower abdominal problems, such as those with prostatitis, often have blocked meridians in their lumbosacral region and buttocks. Since the muscles in the buttocks are thick, massage is often ineffective. Lying on a firm bed and using leg swinging massage can effectively stimulate blocked areas in the buttocks. Therefore, people with lower back problems and various discomforts in the lower abdomen should ideally do this 1-2 times a day, at least 100 times each time. With consistent practice over the years, you will see unexpected therapeutic effects.
