Dietary therapy for erectile dysfunction
(1) Liver Qi stagnation
Its main symptoms are impotence, depression, chest and rib distension, irritability, frequent sighing, pale red tongue, thin white coating, and wiry pulse.
Treatment should focus on soothing the liver and relieving depression, clearing the meridians and invigorating the body.
A medicinal diet and food therapy recipe is to stew pig tail with Cyperus rotundus (from "Nutritional Meal Planning and Food Therapy for Common Chronic Diseases - Sexual Dysfunction"): 20g Cyperus rotundus, 1 pig tail, 5g soy sauce, 3g chopped green onion, and 2g rice vinegar.

Preparation and usage: ① Add 500ml of water to wolfberry, dodder seed, cistanche, achyranthes bidentata, and scorpion, and decoct twice in a clay pot. Filter out the residue and combine the two filtrates to obtain about 300ml.

Preparation and usage: ① Soak the bull penis (male penis and testicles) in warm water until it swells, remove the outer skin, cut it in half along the urethra, and also cut the testicles open. Wash them with clean water, blanch them in boiling water to remove the fishy smell, rinse them in cold water, and set aside for use.
② Place the processed bull penis in a pot, add 2000ml of water, bring to a boil and skim off the foam. ③ Remove the bull penis, mutton, and chicken, cut them into thin strips, add 2g of salt, and pour in hot soup before serving.
How to eat: Once a day, eat 100g of meat and 1 small bowl of soup each time.
Cuscuta Porridge (from "Nutritional Meal Planning and Dietary Therapy for Common Chronic Diseases - Sexual Dysfunction"): 15g dodder seeds, 10g leek seeds, 100g japonica rice.
Preparation and usage: ① Stir-fry the dodder seeds and leek seeds over low heat until cooked;
②Cook it with rice to make porridge.

A medicinal diet and food therapy recipe is longan and jujube porridge (from "Traditional Chinese Medicine Diet and Food Therapy"): 15g of dried longan pulp, 3-5 jujubes, and 100g of japonica rice.
Preparation and Usage: Place the ingredients in a clay pot, add water, and cook into porridge as usual. Those who prefer a sweeter taste can add a little brown sugar for flavor. Eat once a day for 15 consecutive days, or intermittently.
(4) Damp-heat accumulation
Its main symptoms are penile flaccidity, weak erection, damp and smelly scrotum, heaviness and soreness in the lower limbs, yellow urine, difficulty in urination, and dribbling after urination. The tongue is red with a yellow and greasy coating, and the pulse is slippery and rapid.
The treatment should focus on clearing heat and promoting diuresis.
Talc porridge (from "Taiping Shenghui Fang") can be used for medicinal diets and food therapy.
Ingredients: 20g talc, 50g japonica rice, and appropriate amount of white sugar.
Preparation and Usage: Grind talc into a fine powder, wrap it in a cloth, place it in a pot, add 500ml of water, and simmer over medium heat for 30 minutes. Discard the cloth and keep the liquid. Wash the rice and put it in a pot, add the talc liquid and an appropriate amount of water, bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer over low heat until it becomes porridge.
